Art and Artists

I am a self-taught artist working in steel, concrete, wood,copper and bronze - and whenever possible, using salvaged and recycled materials. I've spent the last 17 years studying and working in the areas of building restoration, creative building techniques and sculpting. Part of what defines art for me is the challenge of simplicity in design as well as construction. to be able to build art simply, using few and the most basic of tools, allows me to form a connection and listen to the materials I'm working with. Creating art becomes a conversation.

I hope that my art speaks to the state of man, the state of our Earth and sometimes, just to the whimsy in life. A percentage of art proceeds are donated to charities. I believe that this can make a difference and in this way, further the power of art.
