The power of Scorpio rules the Fall! Beginning on October 25, five planets will reside in Scorpio. The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter all visit the scorpion during the week leading up to Halloween, and the influence continues through the first half of November. Scorpio represents the watery underworld, the eighth house, death, taxes, the occult, sexuality and, perhaps most important, transformation. Fall is a magical time of year and with the mysterious energy of Scorpio so strong, this will be a particularly interesting time. There is a very secretive nature to Scorpio and with so much energy flowing through it we can expect the hidden side of things to play a prominent role during this time. On the darker side of this influence, suspicion and outright fear can raise their ugly heads. Honesty and openness are the most important tools to conquer these negative feelings.
Scorpio encourages exploration of the mysteries of life. The mystical and the mysterious have great appeal, and the physical aspects of relationships intensify dramatically.
Psychic ability is often a benefit of strong Scorpio placements. People with powerful Scorpio influence are often able to communicate with those who have passed over. Undiscovered abilities and potentials are revealed under this aspect. An increased number of people will experience the ability to see “beyond the veil” into the other worlds.
October 7 brings a full moon in Aries. Determination and independence rule the day, and there is a fine line between the benefits and the determinations of this powerful current. Aries can be overwhelming in its nature, and a self-centered attitude can ruin the best plans. Pay close attention to how others react to you from the 4th through the 10th. Careful observation will give you a clear idea of the dynamics you are creating.
Mercury enters a retrograde period from October 28 through November 17. As always, this is a time for caution when it comes to legal agreements and documents. Avoid signing on the dotted line during this time. Mercury interferes with communications, so take special care at this time. Since Mercury is one of the planets transiting Scorpio during its retrograde, extra caution should be used in your intimate relationships. Romantic involvements will be quite intense, and clear communication is of the utmost importance. Although travel doesn't have to be completely avoided at this time, all travel arrangements should be made prior to Mercury's retrograde period.
Mars is in Libra until October 24 when it transits to Scorpio. Venus the planet of love and the arts moves through Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius over this two-month period. These two planets benefit friendships and romantic relationships at this time. Creating and working to maintain harmony in your life is of prime importance and the dynamics you create now will carry through into the remaining months of the year.
Awareness and perception are raised in late October. The desire for stability will on occasion clash with the need to explore new things. Focus and listen to yourself and find the gentle balance between the new and the old.
Jupiter is in Scorpio, a perfect time to educate yourself in esoteric disciplines. Deeper meditative states are possible, and transformative patterns are set into place.
Jupiter moves into Sagittarius on November 25. Jupiter in Sagittarius awakens the desire to pursue philosophical and religious studies. This is an excellent time for both the teacher and student roles in your life. Participation in spiritual and philosophical pursuits is most rewarding under the influence of Jupiter in Sagittarius. Be spontaneous, trust yourself, and allow your boundaries to grow and expand beyond any past restrictions you have created. Confidence in yourself and your path helps you connect with others on a more serious level. Be aware that self trust is especially important as this transit begins. Now more than ever, dwelling on negative thoughts or experiences will hold you back from your life's course.
Severe energies and a dogmatic attitude are aspects of Saturn's placement in Leo. An inner desire to gain control can lead to unnecessary restrictions and authoritarian actions. The inner child craves attention and recognition, and Leo's influence produces drama. Fortunately, the strength of this transit is reduced somewhat for much of this fall period. Extremes in behavior now are likely due to this aspect. Extra drama is not needed in your life so lighten your reaction and move forward as quickly as possible.
The outer planets, Uranus and Neptune, will both make a major move during this period. Both planets have been moving retrograde for some time, so this will be a strong shift.
Uranus in Pisces will turn direct on November 2. Uranus in this position works on the unconscious mind and creates curiosity with regard to spiritual matters.
Mystical and exotic traditions and teachings, especially those from the Far East , thrive under this aspect. There will be an increased number of people taking up various aspects of spiritual teachings such as yoga and meditation. On an individual level, Uranus in the sign of Pisces calls one to seek liberation from the emotional and mental turmoil of the past. Shaking off the confines of material and social restrictions is of great importance in the balance of life under this aspect. There is a great push to define the spiritual self and the deeper purpose to life. Explore gently and pay close attention to the subtle directions being given now. Prophetic dreams will increase around Halloween and, with the direct turn of Uranus on the 2nd, will become even stronger.
Neptune , currently in Aquarius, has been moving retrograde and on October 29 it turns direct. Neptune 's influence is often subtle, yet it affects the masses. Look for new emphasis among spiritual groups as organizations began to refocus on their original goals. Ironically, this will have both positive and negative effects since some groups will emerge with more restrictive ideas.
Carefully examine the various circles of people in your life. Do the groups that you spend time with have a positive influence or do they pull you down? It is critical in the coming months that you make the best choice possible in choosing who and where you expend your time and energy.
Everyone will feel the sting of the Scorpion to some degree during the Fall months. It can be detrimental if you chose to rebel against it, but this will only lead to complications in your life. Sidestep the fear and allow the shifts that are occurring. If approached properly, the scorpion's sting can actually be a jolt of positive transformative energy. Take it, move forward and feel your life become empowered.
