Everyone has the secret of success. It lies within, often untapped, often ignored, its importance overshadowed by the concerns of day-to-day living. Walking the dog, paying the bills, washing the car and countless other distractions cause it to go unnoticed. This magic key is unique to every individual. Although there are countless guides available to assist you on your journey, only you can fully set yourself on the course of your life's work. With 2006 more than half over, it is time to closely evaluate your path of success. The transition from summer to fall is an important one this year, and the challenges that present themselves offer wonderful opportunities for dramatic growth.
Venus brings active, creative energy to the forefront in the month of August. This is a perfect time to venture forward with new creative endeavors that you've always wanted to try. Venus in Cancer will enhance the need for quiet, intimate time with your loved one. Evenings at home are more valuable to romance than active social interaction. After the 13th of August however, don't be too surprised if you feel like you are receiving mixed messages! Venus moves into Leo, and romance becomes much more active and alive. Social time becomes necessary, but your loved one will want to be reminded that they are indeed the center of your attention. These opposing energies calm down after September 7th when Venus moves into Virgo. A feeling of balance will begin to dominate, and this will ground those erratic feelings and behaviors.
Jupiter in Scorpio intensifies personal relationships. You may feel the desire to keep secrets and to hold your true feelings very close. Be cautious of secrecy with those close to you since it will only produce questions of trust. Jupiter in the sign of the scorpion creates odd feelings and can lead to unusual behavior. Friendships can be formed without apparent basis. Business relationships can also be intense. Fortunately, this is an excellent time for success in business ventures. Additionally, Jupiter brings financial gain through inheritance and unexpected avenues. Be aware that this is a poor time to deal with legal situations. Important contracts or major transactions should not be entered into until after the middle of September.
In Scorpio, the largest planet invokes interest in the mystical. Mediums and others who communicate with the departed flourish under this energy. Psychic abilities are enhanced, especially in September. Trust your inner voice and your own intuitions at this time since Jupiter causes them to expand in both quality and quantity.
Saturn in Leo can be a severe taskmaster. This becomes manifest in the form of government regulation and control. Dramatic developments continue in areas such as homeland security and the wars overseas. The political scene in the United States will intensify, and more and more people will begin to notice events that are occurring just below the surface. This in turn will create some dramatic reactions as attention is directed towards various policies that have been quietly put into place. Pay attention to your personal finances at this time. Careful use of funds now will create stability for the remainder of the year. Although business ventures are good during this period, it is best to avoid major personal purchases until after the 15th of September.
Be careful of small events turning into larger, difficult situations. Dramatic events are likely to cause personal values to take on greater importance. Stand by your beliefs and maintain your spiritual center regardless of what unfolds. Although it may be challenging now, this is an excellent time for deeper levels of meditation and spiritual work. Practices aimed at moving beyond the ego and embracing the inner spirit have the greatest value. Yoga, Tai Chi or similar movement practices will assist on a physical level with the challenges brought forth during these two months.
The major movement among the outer planets during this period is Pluto's turn direct on the 4th of September. Pluto is still in the sign of Sagittarius where it affects religion, spirituality, justice, education and sports, to name a few. Pluto brings upheaval to the areas that it affects, but along with the turmoil there is rebirth. On the surface, this may seem to be yet another period of trauma. Pluto, however, is the ruler of the underworld so it is always necessary to look below the surface.
Expect a new wave of spiritual regeneration as an increasing number of people seek traditions that bring peace and balance to their lives. The old forms of religion will have to take a new approach or they will simply fade away as people seek a deeper spiritual connection and understanding. On a personal scale, this is the time to look below the surface of life. What lies beneath the surface exterior that you have co-created? Going within can reveal secrets that will propel you forward. Although it may seem that we are experiencing another period of trauma, events during this time awaken a deeper level of awareness in many people. The power of compassion gets a fresh breath of life as we move into September. Erratic weather patterns dominate as summer ends and the fall season begins. A greater number of storms than normal will bring difficulties to coastal regions. Be aware of extremes in your region and plan accordingly.
September 22nd brings a solar eclipse affecting both Virgo and Libra. The sun and moon will both be at 29 degrees of Virgo. Since this is the last degree of the sign, the eclipse will effect the following sign, Libra. Be conscious at work or you may find yourself in the midst of a power struggle. This energy also extends to family and intimate relationships. In addition to the 22nd, strive to maintain your balance throughout the day prior to and the day after the eclipse. The emotional and the logical realm can clash under this influence. These are dynamic energies but you have a choice in how you react to them. Strive to keep your inner communication clear and balanced.
The secret of success is within. If you're brave enough, set yourself on the voyage of discovery and find it. Turn the television off, close the book and take a good long journey within to retrieve the key to your success. The road of your spirit's path will reveal itself in ways you can hardly imagine.
