Moving the Mountain

Have you ever felt that you have to move a mountain in order to accomplish your goals? In the Far East, there is a story about Hanuman, the Monkey King. When a companion of the Monkey King is on the verge of death, Hanuman leaps across the world to the Himalayas. There he retrieves an entire mountain where a special medicinal herb grows. Hanuman brings the mountain back with him to the healer so that his friend can be saved. During August and September you may find yourself facing the mountain. Although you may not be an eastern God, there are ways to accomplish what is set before you. Are you ready to take on the task?

Venus will visit the signs of Virgo, Libra and Scorpio in this two-month period. This has already been a difficult year for the arts, and the fall offers little change. August calls for a focus on the home and projects that are centered there. Creative energy will begin to climb in mid to late September so take advantage with your artistic endeavors.

As for romance during these two months, there is an air of caution in August and early September. This is a perfect time to allow space for the healing of any relationships that have come to an end during the first half of 2005. Clearing from past relationships can be a daunting challenge, but now is the best time to do so. Remember that unresolved "issues" create a block to bringing new people into your life. To truly move forward you have to be completely clear and free of past connections. Allow yourself the time to breath deeply and release any stress or tension held in the emotional body. For those desiring a new relationship in their lives, September is a perfect time to create positive openings.

Active, fiery Mars will be in the sign of Taurus the bull. Taurus is an earth sign and represents slow but steady progress. What a mix! Of course, this combination can create conflict. While Taurus is cautious, Mars is sudden and dynamic. It is vital to push ahead during these months and utilize the positive surge of energy that Mars can provide. This does not mean impulsive actions. It is against the nature of Taurus to make rash decisions. It is best at this time to gather information and intelligence in order to make informed choices. The energy of Mars can be applied in a focused manner that allows you to strengthen your base. This aspect can cause confusion and lack of action, or it can produce a clear understanding of the best path forward. Set your intent clearly and you will be well prepared for this time.

There has been a general theme of restriction during this year. As the fall months come, a slight shift will begin to occur in regard to this feeling. The energy of Jupiter's placement in Libra strives to bring some balance to life.

Business partnerships bear close examination, and this is an excellent time to refine legal documents and business agreements. This is also a good time to form new working partnerships or to expand company foundations.

Jupiter will lend a small amount of stability to the stock market and business in general. Use caution, however, since this is a short period when expansion is ideal. Stay away from real estate dealings in the later half of September.

Expect a large number of coastal storms during this time, and focus light around the areas of Mexico, Central America and the Ring of Fire.

Saturn is still in the beginning stages of its journey through the sign of Leo. Leo the lion is a fire sign and craves attention. This sign has a flair for the dramatic. In fact, many actors have a strong Leo placement in their charts. We may witness more erratic and tense behavior from celebrities since they will have additional challenges now.

On a more serious note, overseas travel is not advisable during the first three weeks of August. We can expect additional difficulties in the Middle East this fall when Saturn squares Mars. Domestic safety is also an area of concern, especially from late August through mid September. The aggressive combination of Saturn and Mars creates a high risk of terrorist attack in western countries. Take care around the 9/11 anniversary this year. Saturn's placement in Leo will dramatically increase the attention put on the war in the Middle East. The public will call for more answers and accountability in light of the increasing American causalities. Leo is a sign that WILL be heard. With Saturn here, the call of the public towards the U.S. government will grow in stages until it becomes the roar of the lion.

Within each of us is the ability to move the mountain that is before us. We have come to this life with the knowledge that we each need for our individual journey. We can use this knowledge to create a positive, rewarding, spiritual experience. If we move forward and embrace the infinite possibilities that exist we will find that our abilities can match the strength of our spirit. Moving the mountain may not be as much of a challenge as it first appears !
