We have all had those moments in life when the world suddenly becomes crystal clear. Perhaps things appear in a new light or become suddenly bright where there was only darkness. For some, everything moves in slow motion, and the direction and intent are completely illuminated. Likewise, we have all had those moments of illusion. Whether an idea, a mode of thinking or an emotional tie, there was a surreal quality that defied description.
This year, the summer sun will bring both of these extremes to the forefront of day-to-day living. There are opportunities in June and July to capture that rare sense of clarity as long as the world of illusion is avoided.
The fourth of July brings the beginning of a retrograde period for Mercury. Travel plans should be made well in advance of this time frame. If you are traveling at this time, do so with care. Mercury can affect schedules and communications. Mercury retrograde also calls for caution in relation to legal documents and agreements. Important documents should not be signed during this time. Mercury will go direct on July 29th.
Venus will move through the signs of Taurus, Gemini and Cancer during this two-month period. Venus rules the sign of Taurus, so this is an excellent placement for the planet. Romantic experiences are heightened and relationships intensify.
Mars moves into Leo on the 4th of June and will transition into Virgo July 23rd. Work to inspire others by your example during this time. Dynamic leadership is called for now, and people will respond to positive direction and influence. This will be evident on both national and international levels.
There can be a tendency to put energy into avenues that are not productive. Curb this by taking measures to stay focused, especially in the month of June. Pointless dramas are likely to unfold around you. Realize that these are not healthy distractions. If you choose to participate in such things, recognize that you will stray off of your true path.
Jupiter is retrograde in Scorpio in June and on the 6th of July it turns direct. Although Jupiter's placement in Scorpio will challenge many people in the month of June, it is actually a good time for financial planning and career advancement. This is a perfect time to expand your spiritual studies. Jupiter's placement here opens doors to hidden realities and expands intuitive awareness. July is a month to explore and expand your own inner power. Meditation and other tools for self-exploration are especially beneficial for this process. You will find the intimate connection with yourself and your loved ones becoming deeper.
Saturn in Leo brings a heavy dose of reality this summer. Maintain the connection to your center and spirit. This will allow love energy to flow more freely through and around you. By relating honestly to others, you will find greater security and ultimately an easier path to travel. Dramatic energy and expression can be channeled towards social concerns and healing work.
Uranus is currently in the sign of Pisces where it affects world consciousness. Uranus is the revolutionary and under this influence perceptions of reality begin to shift. Those who chose to fully utilize their awareness will discover a deeper level of intuition and connection to the planetary mind. "What the bleep do we know?" has become a mantra for the growing number of people who are realizing that everything is not what it seems on the surface.
Uranus will turn retrograde on the 19th of June. We can expect some disruptions as those who struggle to hold on to old paradigms attempt to suppress growth. Religious and government structures are especially affected at this time.
Neptune is still moving retrograde in the sign of Aquarius. In the sign of the water bearer, Neptune increases the power of intuition and psychic abilities. On the down side, its placement here also increases the power of illusion. At times, there is a fine line between what we are perceiving and what we imagine. Great care must be taken at this time or you may find yourself lured onto a false path. Likewise, illusions people have created for themselves will be in the spotlight. Take this as an opportunity to break through false concepts and use it to your advantage.
Neptune 's placement can also cause a feeling of distance and isolation. Creative people may have difficulty connecting to their muse during this time.
There is also a threat to domestic security in late June through July. Since the summer brings an increased possibility of terrorist attacks use extra caution. This is especially true when attending large-scale events or historic sites. Combined with July's Mercury retrograde, this aspect creates a very poor time for travel.
Pluto continues to move slowly retrograde through the sign on Sagittarius during the summer months. Sports and outdoor activity should be pursued but with extra precautions during this time. Remember, Pluto is the lord of the underworld and in this role tends to "dig up the past." This could cause problems with old injuries or chronic physical problems. Pluto can also force old emotional issues to the forefront. It is important now to address the root of the problem rather than getting caught in the current manifestation. On the bright side, Pluto has a purging effect. As the summer wears on, many will find increased levels of clarity in their life's direction.
Black or white, true or false, real or imagined. Perhaps it is time to awaken to a new reality that falls between what we believe and what we imagine. Always conscious, of course, that we are making our own choices and co-creating our experience.
