With spring in full swing, it is time to look in the mirror and reflect on where you are and where you want to be. Astrological aspects during this time accent the dramas in the world around, both on a personal level and on a larger scale. You may feel tempted to enter into useless scenarios that will only dampen your spirit and distract you from your true direction. The important thing at this time is to take a long look in the mirror of your life and determine whether you are happy with the reflection gazing back at you. This is an excellent time to connect with the daily process that helps you achieve your long term goals.
Venus moves through the signs of Pisces, Aries and Taurus during this two month timeframe. This is the perfect time to work on building social harmony in your life. Self confidence is fine but move beyond the feelings of separation that crop up. Expect new people and relationships to begin appearing in your life, especially in the month of May. Romantic relationships formed in the early months of this year take a turn towards a deeper connection and commitment. The end of May is perfect for a romantic getaway so take that special someone and visit the beach or the mountains. Conversely, towards the end of May there can also be a tendency to close yourself in and spend great amounts of time at home, or alone. Don't ignore invitations or opportunities to socialize. These events will have a positive influence on your career. The financial outlook is good for the spring months and new opportunities abound. May brings a new burst of creative energy, projects that have been on the back burner can be addressed with a fresh perspective. Channel your feelings and impulses in a positive direction and this can be a very rewarding spring.
Mars in Gemini highlights communication skills, writing and mental activity in general. Sharp logic comes quickly and care must be taken that a sharp tongue doesn't accompany it. On a positive note, this is a great time to negotiate deals, solidify contracts or interview for jobs. Remember: stay focused and centered; this can be a useful aspect.
Mars moves into Cancer on April 15. This is not a good placement for the fiery planet and self-centered tendencies can manifest. Emotions can flare quickly so take a breath before reacting. It's easy to alienate others throughout this period. Channel your energy into areas of physical activity and you'll find it simpler to master the flow of this transit.
Jupiter in the sign of Scorpio turns retrograde on the 4th of March. Even this backward movement won't do much to dampen the power of this placement. Jupiter in Scorpio brings dynamic, transformative energy. A deeper sense is awakening in all of us - the sense of a connection to all things. For those in tune, the natural desire now is to connect with others around you on a much deeper level. Take care not to attempt to force connections. Frustration is possible since everyone will not be as open to such deep levels. Surrender any feelings of control and allow the flow into your life. The growth and expansion that comes at this time is derived from exploring this sense of connectedness.
On the material level, this placement is likely to play some havoc with the stock market. If you're investing look at computer technology companies (connectedness) or alternative energies. Real estate sales will continue in a slow decline.
Saturn has been retrograde since last November and finally turns direct on April 5th. Currently, Saturn is in the sign of Leo the lion. This is the time to bring expression into manifestation. On a larger scale, people will feel the weight of social responsibility. Inspirational leaders begin to emerge and through creative example can set a new precedent in the United States. Leo is a sign that craves attention, many famous actors and politicians have a strong Leo aspect in their charts. On the negative side, this aspect can lead to over dramatization and extreme behavior. Be conscious of the dramas unfolding in your life. Are they self created or are they due to a larger drama being played out in your work environment or social group? Your level of participation now will determine how things will unfold for you in the coming months. Play your cards close and don't buy into needless banter with those who merely want to drain your energies.
As for the outer planets, Neptune is in Aquarius and will turn retrograde on May 22nd. Uranus continues to move through Pisces. These two powerhouses strongly influence the "new age" that we are in the midst of. Old belief systems continue to deteriorate. Although some wish to hold on to archaic ideas, as we continue forward progress, this will become impossible. Uranus and Neptune bring disruption, change and revolution. Difficult? Yes, but only for those who resist and struggle. By a simple shift of perspective, this process can be viewed as liberation.
Slow moving Pluto continues its journey in Sagittarius. The outer planet is retrograde during these months and could stir some minor fears on the national level. Pluto, ruler of the underworld may prompt additional terrorist activity so be aware if traveling. On a personal level, this aspect calls us each to develop and practice self mastery. This is the time to move beyond your fears and step beyond your normal boundaries. Reinforce and fully embrace your goals, set new ones and chart the course you want your life to take. Delays can be self created so be cautious of wasted time and self sabotage. If your life lacks discipline, this is the time to begin inserting it. Meditation is especially important now as is physical activity to improve health.
Spontaneous perceptions are likely and the power of insight continues to grow among the younger generation. Pay special attention to children around six and seven years of age. The things they see and perceive can be very prophetic. Encourage their growth and it will help you cultivate your own understanding of the times we are living in.
It's important to remember your inner power. If you are feeling forced or coerced in the direction your life is taking, then you have made the choice to yield. Perhaps you've yielded to another person, or to a set of circumstances, but either way, you have made the choice.
Your personal evolution lies in setting your own goals and determining the call of your spirit. It is a call that only you can hear, and only you can respond to.
By holding firm to the belief of your own inner strength you can materialize all that you want from life.
